The material testing laboratory offers macroscopic and light microscopy studies, which are extended by scanning electron microscopy also used for non-conductive materials (eg gold-plated replicas). Additionally, using the SEM/ESD X-ray microanalysis, it is possible to determine the chemical composition of the analyzed areas. On the basis of the obtained test results, the microstructure degradation degree of the tested elements is received, which together with the data on the work character of the tested elements is determined their suitability for further use.
